Smoke in the air, ribs on the grill, and free live music in the mountains — the Colorado BBQ Challenge returns to Copper Mountain for Father’s Day weekend.

Colorado’s longest-running KCBS-sanctioned barbecue competition rolls into Copper Mountain’s Center Village June 18–20, 2026. What started decades ago has grown into one of Summit County’s favorite summer traditions — world-class pitmasters competing for the title, mouthwatering barbecue to sample, and a weekend packed with free concerts, a rail jam, a 5K, kids’ competitions, and Father’s Day fun at 9,712 feet.

Best of all, admission is free. Wander Center Village, soak up the live music, watch the competition, and pay only for the food you taste and the activities you join.
