If you want convenience at an amazing price, Mountain House is for you. They are one of Keystone Colorado’s first properties right near the original base area of Keystone Colorado – within walk or short shuttle to all skier services and the Peru Express and Argentine Lifts as well as child care. Mountain House offers skier services including lift tickets, ski school, children’s center, retail shops and dining, the new youth zone complete with arcade, Bite Me Pizza, Last Lift Bar and lift access to the lighted A51 Terrain Park.

Located in an Aspen forest north Keystone Colorado Offers easy access to the Keystone Colorado Conference Center and Lakeside Village and enjoys great views of Dercum Mountain with high quality for a good value. They are a quick shuttle ride to the lifts and River Run Village.

Keystone Colorado’s newest village, River Run is a walk-to access to lifts, shops, dining, nightlife and special events year-round many excellent lodging choices, ranging from affordable to luxury. With east Access to the Gondola and the ski lift for easy access to the mountain. River Run is truly a family resort destination with pools, play rooms, exercise rooms, pool tables, and home theaters. There are lots of things to do within a very short walk from getting a coffee at Starbucks or Inxtop or lots of great restaurants like, Great Northern Tavern, Blue River Bistro, Paesano’s or Kickapoo Tavern. In the center of the River Run Village is a firepit for the kids to make smores (Inxtop sells a smores kit including the stick) or go skating on the huge frozen lake. Don’t forget that Keystone Colorado offers exclusive night skiing and there’s also a tubing hill for fun.

The wilderness area of Keystone Colorado offers easy access to Keystone Colorado’s two golf courses, enjoy hiking trails and the bike path in the summer, views from many properties of the Snake River, a short; free shuttle ride to both villages and the lifts, all properties have access to hot tubs and most have access to heated pools. These quiet, affordable properties border the White River National Forest and are one of the best places in the Resort to feel close to Nature, take advantage of being close to the golf courses or walk down to the Snake River along the Keystone Colorado Bike Path.

Since 1946 Arapahoe Basin has been serving up a fantastic ride for skiers or riders from the Colorado area as well as the world. A-Basin opened on October 25, 2010 and was one of the first to open nationally. Arapahoe Basin receives over 350 inches of snowfall annually.
Our amazing mountain has been rocking the wintertime adventurers for 64 years now. We work hard to preserve the mountain’s natural beauty and take steps to see that our patrons do so as well.
From a total of 1200 skiers during its first season aided by nothing but a tow-rope and a military transport truck to haul them to the base, Arapahoe Basin now sports 105 trails and multiple chairlifts, stunning over 400,000 skier visits per season!

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area opened to the public in 1946 with one, mid-mountain rope tow that skiers reached in an Army weapons carrier pulled by a four-wheel drive vehicle. A-Basin reported 1,200 skier visits. They paid $3 a day to access the mountain. It wasn’t until the 1947-1948 season that chairlifts were installed. Arapahoe Basin’s first chairlifts were the 1st post-war chairlifts ordered in Colorado. Those chairlifts must have made quite the difference. Skier visits jumped over 1,000% from the 1st to 2nd season to 13,000. With a base of close to 11,000, and a summit elevation more than 13,000! Arapahoe Basin Ski Area has the highest skiable terrain in North America and a vertical drop of 2,270′. Opening in late October and not closing until June, Arapahoe Basin also boasts one of the longest seasons in North America. Our 900 exhilarating acres does not include the legendary East Wall, which has 90-110 acres that we don’t even count. How’s that for a terrain bonus! Arapahoe Basin’s Treeline terrain park is the highest terrain park in North America and stays open until June of each year. The Treeline use to be called the Mutha’ Hucker. The Pallavicini run and lift are named after a similarly shaped nose called the Pallavicini Couloir on Grossglockner, the highest peak in Austria (12,457 ft.), first climbed (in winter, no less) by the Austrian mountaineer, Count Pallavicini. In 1974 the ski area sold a lift ticket for $7.50. A three day pass was $18 and a season pass was $125. The current A-Frame lodge in the base area was once a missile testing facility.
