This par-71, Hurdzan-Fry course brings an element of drama to your game. The par-35 front nine is oriented around the path of the Snake River and the par-36 back nine winds through a lodgepole pine forest. Impressive elevation changes, variable bunkers, water hazards, and five sets of tees on each hole combine to challenge golfers of all abilities. The 16th hole features a 194-foot elevation drop from tee to green and the scenic 18th hole offers 12 bunkers and spectacular views of Lake Dillon. Add to that the magnificent views of snow-capped peaks and wildlife and it’s easy to see this is a golfing experience unlike any other.

FREE Transport: The Summit Stage bus will run from Keystone to A-Basin every day through Sunday, May 27, 2012. The free bus will leave River Run, in Keystone, at :55 after the hour until 4:55pm. The last bus will leave A-Basin at 5:15pm to go back to Keystone.

The Summit Stage runs from all towns in Summit County and is a great way to save gas, save money and it is completely FREE!

The 1st Annual Arapahoe Basin Chili Cook-Off

Chili connoisseur? Chili snob? Just love eating chili?

Saturday May 19th, join A-Basin for its inaugural Chili Cook-off with music by Great American Taxi featuring Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon!

The cook-off will be divided into green and red categories and includes prizes for 1st Place Overall, 2nd and 3rd place for each category, and a People’s Choice winner.

Tasters will be given 4 beans to put into the mason jar of their favorite chili’s. The participant with the most beans in their jar will be named the People’s Choice winner.

Judging is from 1:00-2:30pm.

Tasting is from 1:00-3:30pm (or until it’s gone).

Pricing: (chili tickets go on sale at 11am)

$20 – 15 tastings and 3 beers

$3 – 12oz beer

$1 – taste

As part of our May Concert Series, Great American Taxi will be playing in the base area from 1:00-4:00pm. This is a FREE concert.

May Concert Series featuring John Truscelli and the Stolen Band

After spending the morning on the mountain, spend the afternoon listening to the Rock/Americana melodies of John Truscelli and the Stolen Band.

9TH ANNUAL HUCK, ROCK AND ROLL

After the other parks have put away the rails and dozed the jumps the Treeline Terrain Park will be ready to host an amateur slopestyle competition for snowboarders and freeskiers who aren’t quite ready to call it quits.

Details: Competitors will individually take three runs on the course and show judges tricks on rails, boxes and jumps.

Registration: A-Frame 1st floor 8am – 9:30am. Please sign up during this time.

Competition Time: Competition will take place at 11am at the top of the Treeline Terrain Park. A list of rules will be given to each competitor at registration. Course will be open for viewing from 9am – 10:30am. Competitor meeting at 10:45am at the top of the course.

Categories: Male ski, male snowboard, female ski, female snowboard, juniors

Cost: $15 per person

Prizes: $100 for first place winners, 2nd place gear, 3rd place gear.

Awards: Awards will take place in the base area after the competition.
