BRECKENRIDGE SKI RESORT ANNOUNCES PEAK 10 TO OPEN THIS FRIDAY, DEC. 17, 2010

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. –Dec. 14, 2010 – This Friday, Dec. 17th, Peak 10, the final peak of the Breckenridge Ski Resort to open this season, will open to skiers and riders via the Falcon SuperChair, the resort announced today. This will add over 200 skiable acres to the 1,964 already open at the resort.

Chairlift hours of operation will also change this Friday, with base area lifts opening earlier at 8:30 a.m.

This week will also see the Winter Dew Tour make its return to Breckenridge Ski Resort.  Now in its third year, the Winter Dew Tour will again focus the eyes of the extreme skiing and riding world on Breckenridge.  This year the stakes have been elevated for Breckenridge’s award-winning Freeway Terrain Park, which has gotten a facelift and now features a brand new 22-foot Olympic-quality superpipe; the new park and pipe will debut live on NBC this weekend for the first stop of the Winter Dew Tour.  For a full schedule of events, lodging information, broadcast information, and competition details, visit www.Breckenridge.com
