Description: A renowned cycling event in Colorado, the 24th annual Courage Classic returns to Copper this summer for a three-day journey fueled by individual and team fundraising efforts that benefit The Children’s Hospital Colorado. The course begins and ends in Copper Mountian, where picturesque views will motivate riders’ 157-mile trek through Summit County, encompassing backcountry roads and challenging climbs, over three Rocky Mountain passes during the height of summer.

Route options

The Courage Classic route has changed from past years.  Please take a moment to get familiar with our route options below.

In order to best support the tour, we are asking you to pre-select your route plan for each day, when filling out your registration form. If you would like to change your route plan, you can do so by going to Route plan in My Account. Although your plan can be updated after filling out your registration form and prior to the start of the tour, volunteers and resources will be allocated based on your registration selections.

Saturday, July 19 – Two route options

Base Route
Copper – Climax Mine/ Fremont – Ski Cooper/Tennessee Pass – Camp Hale – Minturn – Bottom of Vail – Top of Vail (Black Lakes) – Copper
distance – 80 Miles
Riders are required to be on route by 6:30 a.m.
